Neogy, a subsidiary of the Startec Energy group, is delighted to announce the imminent completion and commissioning of its factory dedicated to the mass production of lithium batteries. This new 3,000 m² factory in Pompignac, near Bordeaux, marks a crucial stage in the company’s industrialisation process.
Thomas DEBUISSER, Founder and CEO of the Startec Energy Group, to which Neogy belongs, explains: “Over the last few years, Neogy’s transformation into a major industrial player has accelerated, particularly with the completion of large-scale industrial projects. The commissioning of this new battery assembly site is symbolic, and reinforces the momentum in which the company is already engaged.”
Production at this plant began in May 2024, mobilising various industrial teams ranging from production operators to industrial methods and after-sales service technicians. This collective effort will ensure the mass production of batteries designed by Neogy’s research department for use in a wide range of demanding sectors, including electric mobility, marine and defence. François Enez, Neogy’s Sales Manager, comments: ‘Neogy has gone a step further, enabling us to meet all the battery requirements of industrial companies. Our strength in mass production is due in part to major investment in machinery and the mobilisation of skilled personnel, enabling us to reach a production capacity of 500 MWh per year.
The plant scrupulously complies with industrial safety standards, in particular ICPE 1510, which enhances the safety of the production process and prevents industrial risks and accident management. Bruno Bieth, Neogy’s Plant Manager, added: ‘We are proud to continue producing our customers’ batteries in a plant that meets our high standards. This guarantee of safety and excellence is essential if we are to maintain a relationship of trust with our customers and provide them with high-performance solutions.
With this new plant, Neogy is positioning itself as one of the leading players in the battery sector in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, and is ready to meet the growing needs of industry for sustainable and innovative solutions.
